The following apply to customers' intermittent questions regarding live animal purchases, or occasional questions. Workshops and Presentations have a per occurance "class" fee per individual attending.
General:
We do not charge for the few, general questions. We do present our public Tours for free, though donations are appreciated toward our time and expertise.
Species~specific or topic-specific:
General questions/ONE-TIME consultation regarding a specific species, i.e.: guinea fowl, sheep, chicken... or topic, i.e.: rotational grazing, heritage breeds, general management, are free for the first 1/2 hour. We want you to ask what you need so we can get you started off right, however we have spent many years and a lot of our own funds, time working, researching, studying and gaining the experience we have that has brought you to us.
A donation for taking time out of our jobs to share what we know is greatly appreciated.

Pre~ and Post~Purchase: (applies mainly for purchase of sheep)
Consultation requests beyond initial questions, in relation to making a livestock purchase (not meat product, etc.) are acceptable for serious inquires. However, due to recent experience of an exhorbitant amount of intensive consulting provided for free, without acceptable response to our advice and questions as to the future welfare of our animals were they to be purchased, I must induce a fee moving forward, as follows. I reserve the right to charge at my own discretion, based on my farm work schedule and the situation at hand.
The rate will be $30/hour, charged in 1/2 hour increments.
First 3 consultations encompassing pre and post purchase deposits regarding making a livestock/breeding stock purchase = Free. This includes phone and/or email communication. If intent to purchase is not determined in that time, we may, at our discretion, request payment for further time/information.
Deposit received toward purchase - additional consultations free throughout purchase process.
Purchase and delivery made - free lifetime consultation for general situations.
